So what does my desk look like this week? Ok, here's the real deal...

I'm in the middle of rearranging my bedroom. And since my craft space is a portion of my bedroom,  this is what my bed looks like right now...

Seeing this state that my bedroom is in, I am currently camping in my brother's bedroom. I do intend to finish cleaning tonight, but I just had to insert this... I made korker ribbons, but since there are no wooden dowels here, I used pencils... they turn out just the same as the ones where wooden dowels are used...

Well, except for the white ribbon, the "paint" on the pencil kinda adhered to it but still cute...

WOYWW 195

Seems like nothing's going on much right? Well everything's on the floor. :)

I've been on a card mode since last week (see my previous post). Just a few minutes ago as I was writing this post, I had a "eureka" moment. Will tell you all about it in the succeeding post.

I made it! I thought I wouldn't be able to join this week's WOYWW but here I am.
So onto my desk...

I've been to engrossed with making templates for gift boxes that I almost forgot it's my goddaughter's birthday on Friday and I'm supposed to make a sort of guest book for her party, not to mention I'm making her cake pops... well I guess there'll be less sleep for me .

I'm Back! & WOYWW 191

It's been quite a while since I posted anything. Well, to be exact, since last October. I've been busy plus my mom arrived and just a week ago we celebrated my grandmother's 80'th birthday.

So, after a long time here's my desk again...

It was actually clean last night but I don;' think it will ever stay clean... hehehe... This time I got to use the bigger part of the desk since my uncle made me shelves and a sort of embellishment cabinet (sans the paint)...

So what have I been up to lately? I've been playing with the felt sheets that my mom brought me. Here are some of the things I did.

I also made the centerpieces for the tables during my grandmother's birthday party.

I also made some goodie bags but I forgot to take the picture. SO I've been really crafty but was just to "lazy" to make a proper post.

My dream tool also arrived, the ATG gun. Unfortunately, my mom took out the tape from the box and forgot to return it. so I got the gun but no tape... will have to wait till the next box arrives...

WOYWW 176... Stickers...

First things first.

Here's my desk for this week.

Seems like a lot is going on. Those are some of the stickers that I have been hoarding. The violet frame and the letters are chipboard . I also bought some fake tattoos. They come with glitter so it was cool to put on my mini albums. Not to mention they're cheap. The two misters contains my homemade alcohol inks. Note to self: USE GLOVES. Also I realized that alcohol inks are not to be placed on misters.  BUt I had fun making them. I spray them on doilies.

There's a mini album peeking under all the stickers. It's a mini album I made for my Japanese boys. Hope I get to finish it as I am starting another album for my baby cousin ... again.

It's the Masskara Festival (Festival of Masks) here in our city. As a child I never really appreciated it since we used to watch it under the scorching heat of the sun. But now that I'm into crafting,  seeing these wonderful masks, some made from indigenous materials, I am in awe how these artist came up with the designs. Here are my favorite 2... will try to post some more when I have the chance... (sorry for the grainy pic... I used my phone)

First Mini Album & WOYWW 175

2 weeks. I've been absent form Julia's WOYWW link party for 2 weeks. I've taken pictures of my desk during that time but I wasn't able to do a post. So this week, I definitely have to join...
Here's my desk for the week.

Wondering where and how I craft since there's no space? Simple... I craft on the floor. You should see my floor too. :P

     I've been hoarding stickers lately and I was thinking how in the world did I not see the beauty of having stickers?
I also made my first ever mini album... When I say first, the first one I ever finished. I made it for my baby cousin...

I loved how it turned out and I loved making it. In fact I'm hooked on making mini albums... I have so much pictures of my family especially me and my cousins. I just hope I have a lot of embellishments to use. My cousins are mostly boys and I don't think my flowers would fit the layout. IF any body has any suggestions on how to put "flowers" on boys layouts I really appreciate it...

So that's my desk for the week... now onto finishing cleaning my room...

Paper , Tape & WOYWW 172

Can't believe it's Wednesday again.  WOYWW time! Time flies so fast.  I'm off the floor, but still no "normal" desk.
I'm on my little desk, which I actually made myself. OK... not entirely.  I measured and sawed the wood needed, my cousin put it together, my uncle added some triangle things to make it stop from wobbling and I painted it :). It was meant to be a table that I could use for my laptop in bed but I ended sawing the legs a little longer. Without further ado... here's what's on it this week.

See... nothing much on it.

My brother's friend arrived from Japan last Saturday  and I had asked her to buy some washi tapes for me. I was so excited since she said she bought 7 rolls. But I got a little disappointed when I got. It wasn't washi tape. It was more like regular "plastic" tape with print on it. I was really expecting them to be washi tape ( the mt brand) since the designs from Japan are way cuter than the ones being sold here.
:(. I was also concerned about the residue of the tape, but there seems to be none. Here's a blurry picture of the tapes... sorry.

Nevertheless, the designs were super cute. So what do I do with cute tapes? I stick it onto something! I decided to cover my laptop since It's kinda dirty and there are scratches. And how did it turn out?
PERFECT!. I chose the tape with text on it. It would have been really cute if the text was japanese and it would fit me perfectly since I love japanese stuff, but the text is in french and is still super cute.

I also bought Paper. Did I mention I LOVE PAPER? Well who doesn't? In my city there is no specialty store that sells scrapbook paper like in the US. Our bookstore has a scrapbook corner the choices are so limited and some does not really fit what I have in mind. So when I found a little shop that had these paper packs ( not stacks) I got excited. Although some of the sheets are the same in other packs, I still like it. I bought 1 pack of 12x12 and 2 packs of 8x8.

I think 6 pieces were even double sided and 4 pieces were glittered. Most of the sheets are thick.  Although there are specialty scrapbooking stores in Manila, shipping usually costs a lot since paper is heavy.  So I think I'm just gonna wait for the box my mom and brother sent me from the US. I'm so excited. They bought me a lot of scrapbooking stuff , stamps, punches, lots of paper packs and most of all my most "coveted" tool ... the ATG gun :).Now all I need is a "decent" scrap space.

I also need your opinion on something. I was thinking of getting an embossing machine. Which do you think is better? The Cuttlebug or the Bigshot? Thanks in advance.

WOYWW 171 ... No desk & Small Haul of Supplies

I've missed another week of WOYWW last week. I was out of town and had no internet connection. But I'm back this week and I still don;t have a picture of my desk. I have however... a picture of my FLOOR! That's where I'm scrapping as of the moment. My room's being tiled and painted so everything in it had to be placed in boxes.
Here's my floor...

Please don't mind my dirty laptop... these are some of the things I got when I went to Manila.

My favorite being the glass vials...

They're old medicine vials that are being sold for Php 4 / piece. I think it's expensive considering I could have gotten them for free from friends working in the hospital. But I don't think we have this in this shape here.  I think I should have gotten more if these. There are others but this particular shape caught my attention. I'm wondering what I should do with them.

Then I bought some flowers... again... they look like cabochons and they're just Php 20 / pack (50 cents).

This is the mixed pack. You could also get them in packs of a single design and color.

Then I got butterflies. Php 30/pack ( more or less 75 cents)

Again this is a mixed pack. Downside is, there's only 1 red, 1 black and 1 yellow.

Then I got what I call "half pearls".

They don't have any adhesive at the back by the way and they're only Php20/pack. There are other colors but I really wanted this one. There's also a bigger pack but I don't think I need that many pearls.

Then I got beads by strands. They're only Php10/per strand ( which means they're like 25 cents per strand)

So there you have it... Sorry not much of what's on my desk for this week. I'm hoping we could finish painting by the weekend so I can move my things back inside and craft properly.

WOYWW 169 & Getting my mojo back

I missed last week's WOYWW. I missed a lot of desks over at Julia's Blog.
This week I was determined to join the "craze". So here's my desk for the week.

And here's my side desk. The main desk is actually my brother's, but he opted to use a different computer table so I got to use this one. The unpainted cube rack was made by my uncle. I haven't sand papered it yet but will do when I get back from the errand my mom asked me to. I'm still deciding what color to paint it with.  Also disregard the uchiwa (fan with the face) on the side. I haven't organized my Japanese stuff yet.

Ok. so last week I wasn't able to join the fun but I had been a little crafty since I made a few decorations and desserts for the 1st birthday of my friend's son. But I was to engrossed making the desserts and decors that I actually forgot to take a proper picture of it. So Here are the pictures that the husband of my other friend took during the party.

So, this week, I've been trying to get my creative mojo back and I think I got it back some how. Was too engrossed on making treat boxes and printing digital papers.  I think there are a lot more variety in digital papers than in "real" papers. PLus I don't have to buy the entire pack. Although I WANT thos papers. Unfortunately it's not readily available where I am. There are some but it's too limited. So right now digital papers works for me.

WOYWW 167 & Friends...

I'm so late for WOYWW this week. I have been trying to get my creating mojo back but it seems evasive now a days.
     Anyhow, here's my cluttered, non productive workdesk for the week.

     I really wanted to clean up my desk but as it is always raining here, it's feels much better to just curl in bed. heheheh.
     I got late in posting since I went out with my high school friends last night. We visited a friend who just gave birth. I realized that no matter what may have happened in the past, as long as you consider each other friends, all the hurt and ill feelings will just fade away in time.
     We had a HEAVY dinner. When I say heavy I mean heavy. We had a eat all you can Shabu-shabu dinner and went out for margaritas after. I swear I'm never going to eat that many again.
     I wish we'd do this more often... but then well some of them are married and have kids so I guess "often" is out of the picture.
