[Digital] Kokeshi Doll

I learned how to use Inkscape! Although I am not totally abandoning Photoshop & Illustrator, Inkscape is a good program for someone like me who has ZERO talent in drawing... Here's a sample of my Kokeshi Doll....

I have so much to learn from Inkscape...

Bingo Dauber Ink

I found a cheap but effective way to ink my stamps or stamp as I only have I stamp as of the moment. (Still waiting for Mr. Postman *wink*).
My aunt and grandmother are avid Bingo players but when we transferred my aunt kinda stopped and there were these 2 daubers left so I thought that I might put it to good use by using it as an ink pad.

Here's what the pink looked like after being stamped...

     And the purple...

Now that's what I call recycling... On a different note, my uncle made me this...

A tabletop easel!!! Now I have something to use when taking pictures of my cards and other projects....
Hmmm... I think I can start selling this...

What do you think?

[iCreate 101] Lunch Sack Purse

I saw this wonderful Lunch sack Purse over at You had me at Craft, and decided to make my own version.

Had a hard time looking for the white paper bag so I settled for the brown one...

Also when I decided to place my name in letter blocks, I wanted it to be all green but found out that there were no letter "I's" in green, hence it's violet.

Here's the finished product..

What I used: Brown paper bag, Coordinating scrapbooking paper from All About Scrapbooking, Fabric flower from AAS, Hallmark Stiquotes, Letter Blocks, Lace, Plain Green Paper, Paper Twine

I think I'll put my finished cards here...

[iCreate 101] Picture Frame

I wasn't supposed to make something to day but my cousin said she doesn't know how to make a picture frame, so I volunteered to make one for her.

What I used: Illustration Board, Gift Wrapping paper, buttons, Ribbon, Hallmark Stiquotes

Please excuse the "ripped" paper under the letter "I" and the "dirty" parts on the word Inspiration. I used Hallmark's Stiquotes and since it's bigger that the space I had to cut it. Only, I made a wrong move cutting it after I got it from the pack. Should have cut it before.

It's quite fitting that Satoshi's clothes matches the color scheme...

Hmmm.... maybe I should do a tutorial for this.... what do you think???

[Cards] Happy Birthday Mommy

     It's my mom's birthday (May 6).

I don't know why I find it embarrassing to greet her so I made a card instead. Since They live in Illinois, I'll be mailing it so she's gonna receive this days after her birthday.

It's a simple card but I think what's going to matter is what I'm going to write inside....

Here it is... again Happy Birthday Mommy!

What I Used:  Board paper, Nostalgia Paper Stack from All About Scrapbooking, Ribbon, Felt Shaped Butterflies, Hallmark Stiquotes

Haul of Supplies

Today I had a haul of supplies... no pun intended.

Well, it's not really a haul -haul kind of thing. I just wanted to share the stuff I got today.

Ok, let me give you a rundown of what I got...

1. FABRIC TAPE - I wanted to buy all of them but sadly I was on a tight budget. Each roll costs P25 (equivalent more or less to 50 cents)

2. Patterned Paper - There are only three designs. Seashells, Stars & Teddy Bears. there are 10 sheets in each pack, 2 each of 5 colors and it costs only P15 per pack which is equivalent to less than 50 cents. cheep huh?

3. Patterned Tape - don't know what it's actually called... I was hoping this was Washi tape... costs only P10

4. Craft Punchers -  Considering that craft punchers are supposed to be expensive, I got these really cheap. The blu one only costs P45 ($1) and the green one for P75 ($1.80). There aren't big ones though... those are the ones I really want.

I also got a pack of board paper ( this is what I substitute for cardstock as there's none here).

So there you have it... till next time... can't wait to use these on my upcoming projects...

[Organize it!] My "Desktop"

I admit I am not fond of organizing things. I get, I use, I toss back... Yes that's me... But after reading a few pages (by few I mean a LOT) from I heart organizing's blog, I got inspired. So what better way to start me in my organizing mode is to clean up my laptop's desktop.

Here's how it looks...

There's another folder labeled desktop which contains everything from my desktop. Oh and you should see my downloads folder... I can't even find some files that I used recently. So I decided that it's time to do a complete overhaul. Considering I only have 51 Gb left in my hard drive and any external drive's not allowing me to transfer directly to it (I guess I configured it in a Windows -based Pc that's why).
So after a few hours and a lot of Jpop music in the background, here's what I've come up with...

No more extra desktop folder... No more loose files here and there...

The folders that I frequently use are now clutter free...

Next up will be renaming all files and categorizing them... but that will have to wait... for now let me appreciate Satoshi's face on my desktop...
